Journey into the hilltop temples of Vat Phou, and enjoy the wild paradise of the \u201c4000\u201d islands amidst waterfalls!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 1: Arrive in Pakse<\/strong><br \/>\nArrive and transfer 40 minutes to check into your hotel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2: Pakse \u2013 Bolaven Plateau \u2013 Pakse (B,L)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today, we take a day trip to the Bolaven Plateau, formed by an ancient volcano and is famous for its coffee and tea plantations, tribal villages as well as some of the most impressive waterfalls such as: <strong>Tad Fan the 300<\/strong> meter fall, <strong>Tad Phasoum<\/strong> fall and <strong>Tad Yueng<\/strong>. End the day with a visit to a tea and coffee plantation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3: Pakse \u2013 Don Khong \u2013 Don Deth(B,L)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today, we visit the picturesque pre-Angkorian <strong>Wat Phou temple<\/strong>, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, have a Mekong River cruise by longtail boat to Don Deth island. Explore Don Khone and enjoy lunch on the island before continuing to the Liphi waterfalls, nicknamed the \u201cCorridor of the Devil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4: Don Deth \u2013 Pakse \u2013 Vientiane<\/strong> <strong>(B,L)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check out in the early morning and we transfer to the biggest waterfall of South East Asia, the Khone Phapeng Waterfall. The falls are the main reason why the Mekong River is not navigable all the way to China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c. From here continue to the airport for your flight to Vientiane, the capital of Laos.\u00a0Upon arrival, be met and transfer to the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Pakse \/ Vientiane QV 206 \u00a0\u00a0 1720\/1835\u00a0\u2013 Tue, Thu, Sun<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5: Vientiane (B)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy a city tour of Vientiane and visit Wat Sisaket, Wat Phra Keo, and the most popular Wat in town, Wat Si Muang. End the day at That Luang, a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of Vientiane. In the afternoon, we make a trip to the Buddha Park, a sculpture park in a meadow next to the Mekong River. It is not a temple but it does contain over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues created in 1958.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6: Vientiane \u2013 Xieng Khouang (B,L)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This morning, visit to the fascinating local market of Thongkhankham, before transfer to the airport. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check in. Xieng Khouang, the gateway to the Plain of Jars. If time permits, enjoy an orientation tour of the city and visit the Mine Action Group (MAG) Centre to learn about the land mine clearing efforts in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Fly Vientiane \/ Xieng Khouang\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 QV 401\u00a0\u00a0 1510\/1540<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7: Xieng Khouang \u2013 Luang Prabang (B,L)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, drive to the first site of the Plain of Jars, an archaeological spectacle where giant stone Jars are scattered around the landscape. Thereafter, we begin our long but scenic drive to Luang Prabang. En route, we make stops at villages along the way to stretch our legs, arriving Luang Prabang in the evening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8: Luang Prabang (B)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have an early start to the morning to participate in the daily morning ritual of saffron-clad monks\u00a0collecting offerings of Alms\u00a0from the faithful residents. Afterwards, we have the option of visiting the local morning market. Afterwards, take a city tour of Luang Prabang to visit some of the important sites including the Royal Palace Museum, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, as well as Wat Mai and Wat Visoun.<\/p>\n<p>Visit the excellent Arts and Ethnology Centre which gives you a further insight into the\u00a0ethnic mix and culture of Laos. Finally, take a climb of\u00a0Mt Phousi, which offers a panoramic view over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 9: Departure \u2013 Flight to Singapore <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, visit Ban Phanom \u2013 Weaving village. This is a village steeped in the traditional textile-Making with many families in the village working their looms to provide goods for sale at the night markets. Ban Phanom Textile wiere once supplied to the Royal Family, and weavers today used many of the same techniques and patterns, resulting in the distinctly old fashioned look.<\/p>\n<p>After back to city centre for Lunch and free and easy till departure.
